Dr. Hao Tran, DMD

Dr. Tran is a leading provider of comprehensive dental care serving patients in and around the Greater San Francisco, CA, area. With over a decade in private practice at Modern Family Dental on Spruce Street and considerable experience practicing in other locations, Dr. Tran has extensive experience caring for patients with a wide range of oral health issues, providing state-of-the-art care options including crowns and bridges, resin composite bonding, veneers, teeth whitening, implant retained dentures, night guards, complete smile makeovers, and full mouth restorations. Dr. Tran is a member of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, the San Francisco Dental Society and the Osseointegration Study Club of Southern California (OSCSC), the oldest implant study club in the nation. He has earned his bachelor's degree in neurobiology, physiology and behavior from the University of California, Davis, followed by his dental degree at the highly-competitive Nova Southeastern University in Florida and a general practice residency at Maimonides Medical Center in New York City. Dr. Tran strongly believes in continuous education and travels all over the country to various institutes to learn new and advanced methods and technology to not only constantly improve his practice, but to also offer the best services to his patients. In addition to caring for patients at his private practice, Dr. Tran serves as an adjunct professor at UCSF teaching Prosthetic and Restorative Dentistry since 2012. Dr. Tran has also provided oral health services and care at the Solano County dental clinic and at the region's homeless shelter, receiving the county's “employee of the year” award in 2007. Dr.Tran enjoys the opportunity to work with new patients and to build long-lasting professional relationships. During his free time, he enjoys snowboarding, bicycling and weightlifting, as well as other sports.

Dr. Greg Polonsky

Dr. Polonsky was born in San Francisco to a family of immigrants from Ukraine and raised in the South Bay. His undergraduate education was completed at the University of California, Davis with a bachelor of science in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology along with a minor in Technology Management. There, he participated in research in molecular genetics as well as metabolomics, and received an ASBMB Certified Degree with Distinction. He then went on to earn my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry. Afterwards, he furthered his education and skills at a general practice residency at the University of California, San Francisco followed by an internship in oral and maxillofacial surgery back at UOP. At UOP, he won first place for my case report in clinical removable prosthodontics at the annual OKU-Sutro Excellence Day and published a paper at UCSF on Salivary Gland Dysfunction Secondary to Cancer Treatment where they looked at ways that cancer therapy affects patient’s oral health and what recommendations there are for the best treatment results. From working in the San Francisco community, he has learned to treat a broad range of patients, all with different oral healthcare needs. He believes that each patient requires individual care and attention and that he is there as a listener to help them achieve their ultimate goals. He is an active member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and San Francisco Dental Society; always looking for ways to hone his skills and expertise with continuing education courses whenever possible. He strives to stay current with new technologies that are evolving within the dental field so that he may bring his patients the highest level of care that he can. When he is not in the office, he enjoys trying new food around the city and Bay Area, mountain biking, hiking, traveling, and discovering new music. He looks forward to meeting everyone and helping them with their dental care!

Connie-Rae

I grew up in a small town in Northern Ontario, Canada, and received my dental hygiene education and license from Cambrian College in Sudbury, Ontario Canada. I moved to California and was licensed here in the late '80s. First to Sacramento than the south bay area. I enjoy spending time and having fun with my husband and 3 grown children. (The last one just graduated from college. Yay!) We enjoy water skiing, sailing, snow skiing, and celebrating all of our life events together. I feel very blessed to enjoy my job as much as I do. My favorite part is educating my patients and cheering them on as they move towards healthy long term and stable dental health. I like to use a gentle, kind, and encouraging approach. I have been lucky enough to build some very enjoyable long-term relationships with my patients and their families. I look forward to continuing that!

Maria

Born and raised in Moscow, Russia. Maria moved to the Bay Area when she was 13 years old. She went on to graduate from Foothill College’s hygiene program in 2002 with an AA Degree in Dental Hygiene, and went on to get her B.S. Degree from Charter Oak College. She has devoted her time to creating beautiful smiles and building strong relationships with her patients. She loves educating her patients on their oral health and believes that creating a healthy oral environment leads to overall better health. She continues to advance her knowledge through CE courses and seminars. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her two daughters and her family and friends.
